As the sun beat down on the small town of Maplewood, a group of teenagers gathered at the local arcade. It was the summer of 1987, and they were all eager to spend their hard-earned allowances on the latest video games. Among them was a girl named Emily, who had just moved to Maplewood with her family. She was shy and introverted, but the other kids quickly took her under their wing.
